This pandemic has taught me about the tragic consequences of an exceedingly contagious disease. Every night, our news broadcasts the most recent statistics on sickness and deaths. These are the latest developments. It terrified us every evening at dinnertime. The horror is now amplified by the fact that our numbers are enormous.
